About Longplay Coffee

Let me introduce you to Longplay Coffee, a laid-back coffee shop sitting right in the heart of Caerphilly at Unit 3 Castle St, Caerphilly CF83 1NU, United Kingdom, and honestly, it’s one of those places that feels welcoming the moment you step close. The vibe is relaxed and unpretentious, making it easy to pop in for a quick caffeine fix or settle down for a longer, slower break. Longplay Coffee is all about good coffee done properly, without the fuss, which makes it especially appealing whether you’re a local or just passing through the area. The menu keeps things simple yet satisfying, focusing on quality coffee while also offering prepared foods that work perfectly for a quick bite or a casual meet-up. There’s something reassuring about knowing you can grab a takeaway on a busy morning, choose kerbside pickup when you’re short on time, or stay in and enjoy the atmosphere with a comfortable dine-in option. If convenience matters, delivery and on-site services make it even easier to fit a visit into your day, especially when you’re juggling work, errands, or a relaxed catch-up with friends. What really stands out is how inclusive the offerings feel, with vegetarian and vegan options sitting naturally alongside small plates and light eats, so everyone can find something that works for them without overthinking the choice. Free water refills are a thoughtful touch, adding to the easygoing, community-focused feel of the space and encouraging people to linger a little longer. As someone introducing this spot, I’d say Longplay Coffee strikes a great balance between being a neighbourhood coffee shop and a reliable go-to for consistently good drinks, friendly service, and a space that invites you to slow down, chat, work, or simply enjoy a well-made cup without any pressure, while feeling genuinely connected to the local rhythm.

Have been wanting to visit here for a while, and a damp Saturday seemed as good a time as any. Took the husband and kids too. We opted for Brunch and we're not disappointed. Food was delicious! Service was quick too. Really good selection/ options for Vegan and kids. Will definitely come here again. Friendly atmosphere and good number of seats/ tables. Bacon in the bacon butty was well cooked and a decent thickness, but not too thick.

It was a very cute coffee place right across from Caerphilly Castle. The only thing I would suggest is to get the toliet fixed again. I gently turned the handle 5 times, and it still didn't flush. Cheers!!!

Long Play Coffee is an absolute gem of a café that hits all the right notes for coffee lovers, brunch aficionados, and anyone who appreciates a laid-back, stylish atmosphere. Tucked away in a prime spot with great views of the iconic Caerphilly Castle, this café offers more than just great coffee—it delivers a whole experience that blends history, culture, and comfort. The ambiance is modern and warm, with industrial design elements, wood accents, and a creative, artsy décor that invites you to linger. Whether you’re catching up with friends or taking a quiet moment for yourself, the setting—especially with that stunning castle view—makes it feel extra special. The menu is impressively varied. From “All Day Brunch” classics to indulgent croffles (croissant-waffle hybrids), flavourful toasties, and stacked bagels like the standout “Brisket & Pickle,” there’s something for every craving. The kids’ menu and vegetarian/vegan options add a thoughtful touch for families and diverse diets. Service is relaxed but efficient, with a friendly team and a smooth order-at-the-bar system. With its top-notch food, exceptional drinks, and a front-row seat to one of Wales’ most iconic landmarks, Long Play Coffee is the kind of place you’ll want to return to again and again.

Very nice food both is taste and presentation. Coffee was also great, very smooth. We were confused by the name as it sounds like an Internet cafe or game cafe but it is not. Its just a cafe, but a really good one. Perfect location for the castle and high streets. Short walk from the train station for those visiting Caerphilly. Pictured here is 'ultimate beans on toast' and smashed avocado wih bacon as an extra.

Best bacon bagel I’ve had in my life! So good we came back two days in a row. Amazing coffee and great food.

We pre-booked the afternoon tea here, the only let down was the welsh cakes. They were jam splits instead of traditional welsh cakes and they were so dry it was hard to swallow! Everything else was lovely. The coffee was also abit strong fro the size cup they put it in for the afternoon tea & we were a little annoyed that we couldn't swap one of the tea/ coffee options out for a soft drink as other places we've visited have done this for us. Other than the above the rest of the afternoon tea was delicious and well worth the £19pp
